Construction Updates

Quinn's Pond Draw Down 1 Power to the Parks: January 2010
Construction crews bring power from the existing pole over to the new transformer. The River Rec and Simplots Parks now have power. This will allow McAlvain to plug in pumps to temporarily drain Quinn's Pond in spring 2010 to fill in part of Southeast corner to support the new diversion and Wave Shaper.
Quinns Pond Debris
As the water level receeds in Quinn's Pond (and we prepare to fill in one corner, strengthening the portion of the Boise River bank that will support the new Thurman Mill), debris is revealed. The area is a former site of a concrete plant. Quinn's Pond Draw Down 2
Pumps on Quinn's pond draw down the water level in preparation for the corner of the pond to be filled in, Spring 2010.
Quinn's Pond Draw Down 3
The water in Quinn's pond won't be drained completely, only to about 6 feet from the bottom. With two ponds working all day, it will take about four to six weeks to complete. Spring 2010.
